One million Americans call Mexico home

A September 2016 article cited a whopping one million people have moved to Mexico.  One of the positive comments is that Spanish is worth learning but with such a large ex-pat community getting entirely lost is less of an issue.  English is widely becoming the second language since it is taught in schools. Of course, the favorable exchange rate makes it a good time to invest in Mexico.

Living in Todos Santos

Located on the Pacific Coast of Baja California Sur, Todos Santos is a thriving art community, cultural center with miles of Pacific beach.  The town has a population of about 5,000.  A haven for artists, craftsmen, surfers and travelers.

Join the Leatherback conservation effort

Endangered Leatherback Sea Turtles thrive on the shores of Todos Santos in Baha California.  There is a strong conservation effort to save these turtles. The highly developed Los Cabos tourist area is depleting the leatherback habitat. Anyone interested in volunteering to help protect and relocate nests in the Todos Santos are can learn more at the Leatherback site.

Living in Pescadero

Pescadero on the Baja peninsula has temperatures that are much more moderate than anywhere else in Baja Sur. Tropical fruits like papaya, mangos, pineapple, bananas, coconuts and garden vegetables like tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, beets, radishes, beans, artichokes and fruits like strawberries and citrus trees grow very easily. Now is the time to invest since the tourist-retirement communities are expanding all along the Pacific coast in Baja.
