1 in 5 Workers in the U.S. is age 55 or Older

With increasing frequency we learn about friends and acquaintances at risk of being laid off or fired from their jobs. Just yesterday I had a conversation with a long time 50 year old friend who was about to have an annual review with his 27 year old manager. I was riveted to the stress and tension like an aura around him. He is at the top of his game, releasing his potential with so much experience and energy. He knows he works for a company where the oldest people in departments are leaving. It is age bias at the height of his career and he is wondering can he pick himself up and fight back if he is forced out.
